City Plastics Lattice Installation Instructions

  Cutting and Drilling
EcoScreen plastic lattice is easy to cut and drill. Use any hand or power tool suitable for use with wood. High speed electric saws may produce burring of the plastic, however this can easily be filed clean. A fine tooth saw produces a smoother cut.

Installation
EcoScreen plastic lattice can expand up to 6mm over the width of a sheet in summer and shrink by the same amount in winter.
As such, it is essential the lattice is fastened loosely to avoid buckling in summer and tension in winter
It is suggested 4.5mm diameter (8 gauge) button-head or wafer-head screws are used for fixing the lattice to framework. Holes of at least 12mm diameter should be drilled in the plastic to allow for expansion / contraction. If button-head or wafer-head screws are not available, use pan head or other screws with washers.
Fastenings should be about every 500mm and should not be tightened against the lattice. If self drilling screws are used, they should be loosened-off after fixing.

Important: The Manufacturers Warranty will be void if the correct installation procedures are not followed. EcoScreen plastic lattice is not recommended for horizontal or sloping installations unless adequate support battens are used.
